Features
- Add/Edit/Delete a manga
- Bulk additions to the database (by series)
- Generation of HTML pages for all entries by series or author, with customizable information and layout (using templates)
- Search engine
Both the title and author of a particular series is stored in 2 writings: the original japanese writing and in romanji. The current default setting for the encoding is UTF-8 (Unicode), which is supported by most popular browsers including Internet Explorer 5 and Netscape 3.0/4.0. However, this encoding setting can be freely modified by the user based on preference. A useful list for reference on choosing a appropriate character set is available from The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Program Demo
This sample output is from my personal manga collection, which is completely customizable. The administration panels are only available as screenshots.

(Mar 09) Documentation is done (though badly written). Discovered a few errors and will be working on them. I should release the software by this evening. |

(Mar 05 - noon) MangaDB v0.1 is pretty much done. The demo site which was offline for a brief moment, is now up again (not much difference, though). For the rest of the week, I'll be cleaning up the code, as well as work on the documentation. |

(Mar 05) Really soon now ... Although I completely missed out an entire subroutine, I'm about done with the script for now. What's left is cleaning up the "Generate HTML pages" feature, which could take awhile since I've yet to work on the html templates. After that, all that's left is documentation (the worse!). BTW, I just added a new screenshot! |

(Mar 04) Screenshots Some screenshots are now available. The main screen's pretty small, so I condensed the view. |
